Food Intolerance
The symptoms associated with food intolerance are widespread, and can cause varying symptoms each time the food is ingested. These include headaches, fatigue, digestive upsets, depression, muscle aches and pains to name only a few.
Food intolerance causes delayed reactions that mostly happen a few hours to a few days after ingesting the offending food or foods. The most common foods are wheat, dairy, chocolate, eggs, oranges, additives in food and drink, nuts, alcohol, tea and coffee.
Using kinesiology testing techniques and homeopathically prepared vials of food substances the practitioner can quickly identify what foods a patient may be having problems with.
Allergies
Food allergies, also known as classic allergies, cause immediate severe reactions, some of which are life threatening. These are caused by the immune system producing an IgE antibody. This then triggers other cells to release substances that cause inflammation – an allergic response. This could appear as swelling of the lips and throat, vomiting, severe skin rashes, breathing difficulties and/or anaphylaxis.
What can I expect?
You should allow about 1 1/2 hours. We will test food vials against your body's response and compile a list of foods you may choose to avoid. You can take this with you.
Many people find that withdrawing these foods for a short time and then reintroducing them is sufficient to reduce intolerance levels.
It is a good idea to return for a second test in about 6 weeks to see if intolerances have changed.
